Museum Marceau Constantin

This quiet village is home to an outstanding museum of Fine Arts in Provence. The local council dedicated the Marceau Constantin Museum in the village where he was born, where he returned after his career in Paris. Thus was born Marceau Constantin Museum in August 2009.

Marceau Constantin’s work has received international recognition. His paintings can be found in several countries, including one in the White House collection in Washington. He has received countless distinctions.

At Saint-Christol, Marceau Constantin used to welcome visitors and explain his work. He died on 3 January 2017, leaving a body of work that can be discovered in this museum. Marceau analysed his subject, deconstructed its shapes and colours, then reinterpreted it on canvas, adding his creative talent and deeply human personality.
