La Roque Alric picturesque village of the Vaucluse

La Roque Alric is one of the smallest villages in the Vaucluse, with fewer than 60 people, but certainly one of the prettiest. Hanging from a rock, sheltered from the Mistral, La Roque Alric offers a splendid panoramic view of the Dentelles de Montmirail ridge. The village is like the setting of a Provençal nativity scene.

The village’s resources are mostly agricultural and there are a few places to stay for vacationers. This is the starting point for scenic hikes in some of the most beautiful landscapes of Vaucluse. La Roque Alric looks over the Dentelles ridge, and walk a little way towards the village Le Barroux and you will enjoy beautiful landscapes of vineyards and a splendid view of the Mont Ventoux and the Plaine du Comtat.
