For opening hours for Saint-Saturnin-lès-Apt's nativity scene, see the tourist office website: luberon-apt.fr.

This monumental nativity scene fills a 120 m³ space in a side aisle of Saint-Étienne parish church, in the heart of Saint-Saturnin-lès-Apt. It is exceptional both in scale and for its more than fifty large wax and papier-mâché santons. Documents from 1813 record the transfer of the wax santon moulds from Avignon's Carmelite convent to the church. The oldest figures are therefore more than 200 years old.
