Christmas nativity scene in the Célestins church, Avignon (2018)

In 2018, Avignon's large Provençal nativity scene was installed in the Célestins church. For the first time that year, it was created by Romain Rodriguez, an enthusiastic santon maker and nativity scene designer, the creator of the Comps nativity scene. He arranged several hundred clay santons in a monumental display occupying the whole choir of the old, now deconsecrated church.
