Thouzon hill was unsed as pasture for sheeps and the fortress on the top
was a shelter during troubled times for the inhabitants of the village.

14th century, and by the terrible Baron des Adrets during the Religion
wars in the 16th century.

hoaxes overrun the hill, criss-crossed by foot path. It is an enjoyable
and easy place for walking in Provence's nature. The highest pouint is
at 110m, about 50m above the surrounding plain. The outlook there is splendid
: at the foot of the hill spread the greeny plain of the Comtat Venaissin,
limited northwards by the Dentelles de Montmirail and the Mont Ventoux,
eastward by the Vaucluse plateau, as southward stands out the Luberon
and Alpilles mountains against horizon.

by many people, the hill and the monastery are private property open to
the public. . Commons rules of respect and security must be respected
(no fire, no engine vehicle, respect for ruins and walls, etc.) An active
association takes care of this place from which comes a real delight.
